Eaton Canyon - night hiking

Because night hiking is dangerous...

... or magical.

~~~
I have such a hard time with the themes, so I ended up coloring a comic I drew a while back, instead. :]
Trouble Lurking, short comic
EDIT
So it was Miguel's birthday the other day, and I colored this piece! Also combined powers to make it a story of sorts....
~~~~~

I just realized I did Trouble Lurking twice. Oh well!

This all started as a one page comic, of me getting mad at my mom's cat, Sylvester. He's big, fuzzy and black with white paws and face~ He loooves string! As I was crochet-ing a scarf--oh... Just check out the comic, and you'll see what happens ;)

fourth theme

new theme!

Break Away

can you believe it were only on week 4. keep drawing everyone keep drawing!

extra challenge. pick your favorite movie or book and illustrate it with this theme.

Rainbows 1 2 3

The first piece is 2 ft x 1 ft maybee.
it was done on cardboard and took about 2 hours?
not really happy with the placement of her body versus her head. im not sure what happened there. any critique suggestions?
the two other pieces are the first ones. the first one took 10 minutes, the second around 70 minutes. and yeah. the ideas don't have a noticeable shift from one idea to the other, but they keep the same theme? i found it hard to work on exactly the same piece twice in a row. rather unthinkable actually.
no other posts for this? noone inspired by rainbows? thats okay. we'll get a better theme up for next week.
hope you all are still sketching!

Trouble Lurking

Okay, I might be cheating a little bit, but I drew some drawings of my mom's boyfriend's dad's dog: Sebastian. He's a little Scottish Terrier who has waaay too much energy for his size. This dog is the essence of "trouble lurking"!

third theme

going with something more colorful and bright this week!

rainbows!

new challenge! time yourself. try doing the same piece multiple times with different time frames. see what happens to the drawing as you work it through how it changes or your ideas change. i'd really love to see the process until the ending piece :)
try to spend 5 minutes, 10 minutes, and 1 hour. or whatever increments you think would work better.

see you guys next week.
